Michigan ADR Center is not here to take away your clients, but rather help resolve cases more efficiently.
We do not take cases with just one attorney, either both parties have an attorney or neither have an attorney. The only way Michigan ADR Center will accept cases with one attorney is if that attorney agrees to allow his / her client to attend with them. This is left to the attorney.
When there are attorneys on both sides, ADR can help the parties reach an agreement on some or all issues with the assistance of the parties’ attorneys.
Michigan ADR Center can be used for all or limited issued. Other advantages for the clients and attorneys, is there are no set business hours. This means ADR services can be provided during business hours, after business hours or even on weekends.
The facilitator will either have been certified in ADR or Collaborative Law. The facilitator can draft final documents as they are attorneys, or it can be left to the attorneys or a combination of both.
